Wow—what an incredible men’s retreat! Beast Fest was a huge success. David Vaughan’s messages on Samson and the health of the Church were both thought-provoking and deeply moving. The bonfire fellowship was especially meaningful—just a great time of connection and encouragement. We’re praying that every man who attended left refreshed and renewed in his commitment to Christ and His bride, the Church. One attendee even made the decision, after returning home and reflecting, to give his life to Christ—and was baptized! 🙌 Already looking forward to next year. Can’t wait to see you then, men!

@fccbainbridge has the most beautiful old church! It was such a pleasure to fellowship, sing, listen to Josh preach, and share about camp. On Sunday morning we joined the First Christian family for Sunday school, where the lesson focused on giving graciously and open-handedly. Afterward, Josh preached and also shared about camp. Saturday night when we arrived, we joined several from the congregation for dinner at Uncle Bill’s, a local pizzeria. It was nice to meet some of the congregation and fellowship. On Sunday, we went with Mrs. Sharon, who serves on the board of directors, to Ricky’s Steak & Buffet. We enjoyed some great food and a long, lovely conversation. After lunch, we hopped back on the road to head to Gainesville to visit some friends and share with others about our work previously in China and our current ministry at @tristatechristian.
Williams family is on the move again!
On the way to @fccbainbridge! Josh will be preaching there this Sunday and sharing about camp. Looking forward to meeting more of the community who love @tristatechristian as much as our family does.

Last weekend, we visited @cccctally . After returning from South Carolina, we unpacked, repacked, picked up the boys, and headed to Tallahassee for the weekend. Josh preached and shared about @tristatechristian camp at Capital City Christian Church.

Josh preached and shared about @tristatechristian camp at Capital City Christian Church. The drive from our host home to the church was absolutely beautiful—I love tree-covered roads 😊🤩 On the way back home to Defuniak Springs, God blessed us with His beautiful artwork along the way. It was a wonderful reminder of how amazing our Creator is and how deeply He loves us.

Have you signed up yet for the Men’s Advance? Tri-State Christian Camp will be hosting this event on March 20–21. Our guest speaker will be David Vaughan, who will speak on the importance of bold, masculine leadership in the church and share insight on keeping our churches healthy. We attended the 2026 Christian Camp Leaders Conference this week, held at the Ellie Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This national conference brings together more than 120 Christian camp leaders from 37 states. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect, as both of us have only been involved in Christian camp as volunteers in the past, and Josh also attended camp as a child. It was really neat to learn about camps all across the U.S. and hear about their programs and activities. The main speaker was excellent and shared meaningful meditation techniques that focused on giving our stresses to God. We participated in four workshops and three speed-networking sessions covering seven key areas: administration, leadership, spiritual life, food services, facilities, programming, and guest services. Everyone was incredibly welcoming. It felt like a family gathering, and we were quickly embraced by the community. One day, we had several hours to explore Myrtle Beach. We ate at a local seafood restaurant, which was very good, and were surprised when a group from the conference—people we had only briefly met—paid our bill. The conference location was right on the beach, and the views were beautiful. On Tuesday, we took a walk along the shore and attempted a cold plunge. The weather was windy and overcast, with a temperature of 41 degrees, and the water was about 50 degrees. We stayed in for roughly 20–30 seconds—it was intense! The following day was a bit warmer at 50 degrees, with sunshine and almost no wind. A large group, including us, participated in a camp team cold plunge. We ran in together and all went fully underwater. It was amazing how much of a difference the sun and lack of wind made. While most people headed back inside, we walked the beach for about 15 minutes as we dried off. Overall, it was a great week of networking and learning from experienced camp leaders. We’re already looking forward to next year’s conference.

Did you know that DeFuniak Springs—home to Tri-State Camp and Resort Center—has a history as unique as its charm? Founded in the early 1880s, DeFuniak Springs began as a planned railroad town and education retreat, thoughtfully built around one of the most nearly perfect circular, spring-fed lakes in the world. That sense of intention and beauty still defines the town today. We spent the weekend exploring the area, having a picnic lunch by the spring-fed lake, and soaking up the excitement of the Gras Festival downtown—live music filling the streets, a classic car show, a colorful parade, talented local artisans, and food trucks serving up something for everyone. It was of full of small-town character. Now imagine hosting your next retreat, camp, or event at Tri-State Camp and Retreat Center—enjoying our facilities by day and then heading into a beautiful, historic downtown filled with culture, food, and fun. It’s the perfect blend of peaceful retreat and lively local experience.
